Registration

How to use the service?

  • Anyone is welcome to use Funny time as long as they are not less than 21 years old with a driving experience (category B) of at least 2 years.
  • During the last step of registration, it is necessary to click on “I am purchasing for a company” and fill in all the information, including the company identification number.
  • After registration, it is only necessary to provide information about employees.

What is Funny time carsharing?

Funny time is a short-term car rental with a “pay-as-you-go” model, billed per minute/ per hour/ per day of use. We provide hundreds of vehicles that can be rented across Phuket 24/7 through our mobile application. No registration fee and deposit upon the car booking! You can make your trips within the designated Permitted area – which is the borders of the Island of Phuket – and you can use the vehicle for as long as you need it, without committing to a specific return time. You can end your trip in any allowed parking zone as displayed in the mobile application.

The required information is the employee’s full name and date of birth.

How to register?

Before you start using Funny time you need to install our free mobile app Funny time Carsharing Thai on your smartphone. To register, enter your cell phone number to which you will receive an SMS with a pin-code for authorization. Fill in your personal details: first name, last name, e-mail, promo code (if any). Confirm that you are over 21 years old and that you have at least 2 years of driving experience, category B.

Take a photo of the following documents using the mobile application:
– front and back side of your identity card;
– front and back side of your driver’s license;
– selfie with your identity card.

Make sure that all the attached documents and photos are displayed clearly, without glare. The following information must be fully visible on the selfie with identity card:
– name, surname, date of birth
– ID number (if applicable)

 

You should also read the General Commercial Terms and Conditions and the Personal Data Processing Policy and agree to their terms by clicking the appropriate button in the application.

Why can't I upload photos from my phone?

In order to avoid copying other people’s personal data, documents can be photographed only through a mobile application.

How do I get the verification code?

When you sign in the Funny time Carsharing Thai app, you will be requested to enter your mobile phone number. An sms message with a unique sequence of characters will be sent to your mobile phone number upon the registration in the app.

Please note that if you use the telephone number of a mobile operator that is not registered in the Kingdom of Thailand, the particularities of operation of the systems of mobile operators increase the risk of late receiving or not receiving the SMS messages sent by Funny time Thai.

How long does it take to verify my Funny time account?

As a rule, the documents are verified within 24 hours. When your Funny time account is verified, you will receive an e-mail and a push-notification. If your activation takes longer, please contact us through the Chat with support in the mobile app or by e-mail support@anytimethai.com

How can I pay for the rent?

You can pay for the rides with your debit or credit card (MASTERCARD, VISA, JCB) which shall be linked to your Funny time account. Please note that your bank card must be open for online transactions.

Open “My profile” – “Payment methods” – “Add a card”. When linking the bank card, you must specify the number, first name and last name as indicated on the card, the expiration date and the CVC code. Optionally, you can link multiple cards to your Funny time account. 

When can I start using the service?

You’ll be able to start using Funny time carsharing services as soon as your account is verified. As a rule, the verification of the submitted documents is done within 24 hours.

How to download the app?

You can download the Funny time Carsharing Thai mobile app for IOS devices in the AppStore search and for Android devices in Google Play search.

I’m a foreigner, can I use the service?

Foreign citizens can use the Funny time Carsharing Thai service, providing that you are not less than 21 years old with a driving experience (category B) of at least 2 years and if you have a valid VISA, MASTERCARD or JCB bank card.

About Funny time Cars

What kind of vehicles does Funny time use?

We provide different car makes and models for per minute and daily rentals, including Toyota Yaris Ativ, Toyota Corolla Cross и BMW X1. All the vehicles are right-hand drive with an automatic transmission. We plan to update and extend our fleet in the future, and you can stay tuned to our website www.anytimethai.com and social media accounts.

Are the Funny time vehicles insured?

Yes. All Funny time vehicles are covered by the third party liability insurance. These fees are already covered in our prices.

Liability in case of a road accident

Liability in case of a road accident is limited to 23 000 THB. Detailed information about your liability is specified in the General commercial terms and conditions which is available in the Funny time Carsharing Thai mobile app – section Rules – User Agreement and on our website www.anytimethai.com.

If you are not at fault for the accident, there is no financial responsibility.

Is there booster chair in the vehicle?

There are no booster chairs or child seats in the vehicles, but an independent installation of your booster chair is foreseen.

What kind of equipment do you provide in each Funny time vehicle?

All our vehicles are equipped with the following features: automatic transmission, start-stop system, air conditioning, multimedia system, front airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). Additionally, some Funny time vehicles are equipped with Bluetooth technology and charging cables for your phone.

Can I charge my smartphone in the car?

Our cars are equipped with USB sockets. As long as you have a USB cable with you, you can always charge your personal devices on the go.

Can I reserve the vehicle in advance?

You can reserve a car via Funny time Carsharing Thai mobile application for 20 minutes for free, however, you can not reserve the vehicle for specific day and time in advance. Please note that you can reserve one car at one time.

Can I cancel a reservation?

You are given 20 free minutes to get to the car after booking. You can cancel your reservation for free during this time.

After 20 minutes of free booking the “Standby” mode will be applied.

If you cancel your reservation, subsequent reservations within 24 hours will be charged at the “Standby” rate.

Do I have to do an inspection of the vehicle everytime I start the rent?

Please inspect the vehicle carefully before each rent. All damages must be reported to us before the trip in order to avoid liability for these damages.

If the car is damaged in any way or is heavily soiled, please upload relevant photos via the mobile app before the rent.

If the damage is serious, we recommend that you contact us at +66 97 783 0199.

I got a flat tire or the car broke down. What shall I do?

In case of a vehicle malfunction, puncture or other damage, please contact us through the app or at +66 97 783 0199 (available 24/7) and send photos to support@anytimethai.com. In case you do not fix the damage before the rental begins, you may be liable according to the terms of the Contract.

How to use Funny time

How to book and rent a car?

You may select any available car through the Funny time mobile application and click “Book” button to reserve it.  The car will be booked for 20 minutes for free to enable you to get to the car, then the “Standby” rate will apply. Before you start the rent, make sure you have enough funds on your bank card to pay for the rent. You can reserve 1 vehicle at a time.

In case of cancellation of your reservation, for the next 24 hours your new reservations will be charged with the “Standby” rate. 

Where are the keys?

You don’t need the key to open the car and to start the rent – open the car by using the mobile application Funny time Carsharing Thai. To start the engine you need to accept the car by pressing “Start Rent” button in the mobile application, then hold down the brake pedal and press the engine Start/Stop button in the car.

Where can I drive?

With Funny time you can move within the Permitted Area – territory of Phuket Island. You may check boundaries of the area on the map in your mobile application Funny time Carsharing Thai. It is prohibited to use the car for training purposes, to participate in competitions, for towing, for driving off-road.

You are not allowed to drive outside the Permitted Area with Funny time vehicles. We recommend that you check boundaries of the Permitted Area on the map in the mobile application Funny time carsharing Thai before your ride.

How to finish the rent?

To finish the rent, you need to park the car according to the traffic rules within the Permitted Area on a place with free access to public, within the free parking zone.


Please check whether all windows, trunk and doors are closed, then move the automatic transmission lever to the “P” position, turn off the ignition by pressing “Start/Stop” button in the car. Go out from the car and close the doors, press the “Finish Rental” button in the app. Funny time will thank you by blinking headlights. Make sure the car is locked by checking the door handle.

Where can I park the car?

You can finish your rent and park Funny time cars in the allowed Parking zone specified in the Funny time Carsharing Thai mobile app in accordance with the traffic rules.

It is not allowed to finish the rent on the underground parking lots, on sidewalks, in closed or specialized parking, in private parking and garages, in places where there is no access to the GPS system or to the Internet, in parking lots with limited opening hours, in parking spaces for disabled people, specialized parking for trucks, on the territory of paid parking, which is not included in the zone of a legal public street parking, as well as behind barriers.

If you want to park the car and to continue the ride afterwards, switch your rental to the “Standby” mode in the mobile app by clicking the button “Close”. Parking in the “Standby” mode is allowed within the Permitted area and is charged in accordance with your tariff.

What if I can't finish the rent?

Before you finish the rent you need to check:


1. Whether you are within the Permitted Area.
2. You have a proper Internet connection on your mobile device.
3. Whether doors, windows, trunk are closed.
4. Whether the automatic transmission lever is in the “P” position.
5. Whether the engine is off.


If it is not possible to finish the rent, please contact us through the Funny time mobile application chat or call +66 97 783 0199.

How to fuel the car?

If you have low level of fuel in the car, you can choose between 2 refueling options:

 

1. Refueling using a QR code.

2. Payment at your own expense with a subsequent reimbursement.

Forgotten items

All lost and found items should be reported to the Chat with support in the Funny time mobile application or at the hotline number +66 97 783 0199. We will try to help you to return it.

 

If you have found any forgotten item in the car we’ll determine with you whether you should put it into the trunk or if we should send someone to recover it. In case of any dangerous items, we’ll determine with you if the item should be reported to the police.

 

Please note that we do not recommend leaving your personal belongings in the car, even when you switch it in the “Standby” mode. Anytime is not responsible for any personal belongings left in the car.

Are there any mileage restrictions?

If you have chosen a per minute rate, there is no mileage limit.

If you rent a car by hours or by days, any extra mileage is paid separately in accordance with the chosen tariff. You can read the information on the included mileage in the tariff card upon the car booking or on our website www.anytimethai.com.

Who pays the road fines?

You are responsible for all the administrative offenses and fines imposed against the company resulting from your non-compliance with the traffic rules, as well as for the forced evacuation of the car by the relevant services. Funny time will pay the fine and then request a reimbursement from you with an admin fee. Information about the fine is sent to the e-mail that you have mentioned upon the registration in the Funny time service.

What are the other fees and charges?

There may be certain additional costs associated with the improper usage of the vehicle or due to traffic violations. These fines are designed to keep the Funny time service running smoothly. Please refer to the General Commercial Terms and Conditions to learn more about the system of penalties.

What shall I do if the car was evacuated?

You are responsible for any fines assessed during or after your trip if you have improperly parked the vehicle or left it in an unauthorized parking area. In addition to the fines, you may also be responsible for the Funny time service fees in accordance with the General Commercial Terms and Conditions. Please follow the traffic rules and do not park the vehicle in unathorized areas.

Can I smoke inside the car?

It is strictly prohibited to smoke cigarettes, including electronic devices, as well as vapes and hookahs, in our vehicles. If you violate this rule, you will be issued a fine in amount of 1 500 THB according to the General Commercial Terms and Conditions. You will also have to compensate us any costs related to the dry cleaning of the vehicle interior.

Can I share my Funny time account?

Unfortunately, not. It is strictly forbidden to share your personal Funny time account with other people. Each Funny time user must have his/her own account. For handing over a car under your account to another driver you will be charged a fine in accordance with the General Commercial Terms and Conditions. You may invite your friends to the Funny time Carsharing Thai service by sharing your personal refferal code from the section Promo Сode. You and your friend will get bonuses on your Funny time account after your friend applies your personal refferal code in the mobile app and makes his/her first trip.

Can my pet ride with me?

Transportation of animals is allowed only in the airline-approved pet carriers, ensuring the absence of direct contact of animals with the vehicle. Transportation of large animals in the car is prohibited. If you violate this rule, you will be issued a fine according to the General Commercial Terms and Conditions. You will also have to compensate us any costs related to the dry cleaning of the vehicle interior.

Can I carry bulky cargo during the rent?

Transportation of bulky cargo is prohibited. If you violate this rule, you will be issued a fine according to the General Commercial Terms and Conditions. You will also have to compensate us any costs related to the dry cleaning of the vehicle interior.

Funny time Account

How do I access my account?

You can get access to your account, update the payment information and view your recent trips by logging with your cell phone number into the Funny time Carsharing Thai mobile application.

How can I edit my personal details?

To prevent identity theft and fraud, your personal information can’t be changed online. To change your personal details please email a scanned copy of the new document to support@anytimethai.com

How do I view my recent trips?

All details of your recent trips are displayed in the Funny time app in the “My rides” section of the side menu.

In case of absence of documents or fuel cards, please report about absence trough the application, or call 253 253 007.

What should I do if my identity card or driver's license have changed?

To prevent identity theft and fraud, your personal information can’t be changed online. In order to change it, please email a scanned copy of your new driver’s license/ID card and a selfie with it to support@anytimethai.com. Please contact our Customer care support as soon as possible to update your documents.

Parking

Where can I park and finish the rent?

You can finish your rent and park Funny time cars in the allowed Parking zone specified in the Funny time Carsharing Thai mobile app in accordance with the traffic rules.

It is not allowed to finish the rent on the underground parking lots, on sidewalks, in closed or specialized parking, in private parking and garages, in places where there is no access to the GPS system or to the Internet, in parking lots with limited opening hours, in parking spaces for disabled people, specialized parking for trucks, on the territory of paid parking, which is not included in the zone of a legal public street parking, as well as behind barriers.

If you want to park the car and to continue the ride afterwards, switch your rental to the “Standby” mode in the mobile app by clicking the button “Close”. Parking in the “Standby” mode is allowed within the Permitted area and is charged in accordance with your tariff.

Can I park in a shopping mall or any other private car park?

You can park in a shopping mall or any other private car park only if:

1. You pay for the parking fees yourself.
2. You don’t finish your rental inside the car park.
3. There is access to the GPS system and to the Internet.
4. Upon visiting the shopping mall you return the car to a public parking or another free parking zone in accordance with the traffic rules within the Permitted Area.

Can I park without finishing the rental?

Yes, if you want to park the car and continue your trip later, switch the rental to the “Standby” mode by tapping the “Close” button in the mobile app. Make sure the car doors are closed and the rental has switched to the “Standby” mode.

Parking in the “Standby” mode is allowed within the Permitted area and is charged according to your rate.

How do I know if I am outside the Permitted area?

You can always see your current location and the Permitted area borders in the mobile app. You will get an alarm through the mobile app if you leave the Permitted area. If you do not return into the Permitted area, we have a right to impose a fine according to the General Commercial Terms and Conditions.

What happens if the Funny time car which I parked was ticketed or towed?

You are responsible for any fines assessed during or after your trip if you have improperly parked the vehicle or left it in an unauthorized parking area. In addition to the fines, you may also be responsible for the Funny time service fees in accordance with the General Commercial Terms and Conditions. Please follow the traffic rules and do not park the vehicle in unathorized areas.

Payment

How to pay for the rental?

We accept VISA, Mastercard and JCB bank cards. The payment is made in Thai baht in accordance with the chosen tariff. To pay for the rent you have to link a bank card to your Funny time account after the registration: open My profile – Payment methods – Add a card. The payment will be done automatically after each ride, so please make sure you have enough money on your bank card prior you start the rent.

In case you do not pay the bill within 24 hours, we have the right to charge you a penalty in the amount of 0.05% of the outstanding amount for each day of delay in accordance with the General Commercial Terms and Conditions.

What happens if my payment fails?

If the amount due can’t be debited, your Funny time account will be temporarily blocked. In case you do not pay the bill within 24 hours, we have the right to charge you a penalty in the amount of 0.05% of the outstanding amount for each day of delay in accordance with the General Commercial Terms and Conditions.

If you decide to finish the rent you can leave the car for free in legal, public street parking within Home Area which is highlighted in the application.

Please note that it is not allowed to finish the rent on underground parking lots, on sidewalks, in closed or specialized parking, in private parking, in places where there is no access to the GPS system or to the Internet / mobile communication, in parking spaces for disabled people, for trucks, on the territory of a paid parking, which is not included in the zone of a legal, public street parking, as well as behind barriers.

Can I pay an outstanding amount with different credit/debit card after the invoice has been issued?

You can link another credit or debit card to your Funny time account through the mobile application Funny time Carsharing Thai. Open My profile – Payment methods – Add a card.

What shall I do if my Funny time account got locked?


This means your default payment profile had insufficient funds at the time of billing. Don’t worry, your Funny time account will be unlocked as soon as the outstanding amount is paid. You can link several bank cards to your Funny time account.

In case you do not pay the bill within 24 hours, we have the right to charge you a penalty in the amount of 0.05% of the outstanding amount for each day of delay in accordance with the General Commercial Terms and Conditions.

When will my credit/debit card be debited?

Credit/debit card which is linked to your Funny time account is debited as soon as the due and payable amount reaches 300 Thai baht or right after you finish your rent.

Which rate will be applied if my Funny time prepaid package ends?

If you have selected a prepaid tariff and your trip lasts longer than the time included in the package, a per-minute rate will be applied after the package time is exceeded. For more information, please check our current rates on the Funny time Carsharing Thai mobile app or on our website www.anytimethai.com.

Force majeure

What should I do if I got into an accident?

In case of a road traffic accident, you must immediately notify the Royal Thai Police at the single emergency number 191 or at lines 1669 and 1137.

You must also inform us of the road traffic accident through our Customer Support +66 97 783 0199 and proceed according to the instructions provided by the Customer Care manager.

I got a flat tire or the car broke down. What should I do?

In the event of a vehicle malfunction, or in case if you’ve got a flat tire, or any other damage has occurred, please contact our Customer Support +66 97 783 0199 and send the photos of the damage to the chat with support inside the mobile application or via the email support@anytimethai.com.

How much will I have to pay if I get into an accident?

If you are not at fault for the accident and did not violate the General Commercial Terms and Conditions, there is no financial responsibility.

If you are at fault for the accident, the amount of liability will depend on the rate you’ve chosen. The amount of liability in case of an accident is limited to 23 000 Thai Baht.

What should I do if I get stopped by the police?

If asked to do so by the police, you have to show your driver’s license. Vehicle registration (the tax sticker) is fixed on the front windscreen.
